Our company's technology began with rubber coated fabric and during the last hundred years has increased and diversified into seven different business areas. From industrial goods and materials to carbon fiber golf shafts, our technology is utilized in in a wide variety of ways in daily life. As expressed by our corporate brand name, Fujikura Composites, we employ the synergy of combining distinct technologies to create new technologies and expand into new business areas. Engineering Center
In January 2011we completed construction of a new Engineering Center on the grounds of our Iwatsuki Factory. As part of a reorganization of our operations, 120 engineers that were previously dispersed in various departments at 3 separate factories were brought together in this new center. This new organization results in greater collaboration and sharing of technical information and increased speed of development. In particular, the development of eco-friendly technologies has increased. For example, the carbon shaft production technology developed by our sporting goods division has been combined with the knowledge and experience of the automotive industry accumulated by our rubber goods division to create new carbon composite components for automobile applications.   Engineering Center
